NCC ran three EASE Gathering workshops in Mudgee, the Blue Mountains and Grafton, which were attended by over 40 courageous and dedicated environmental advocates.
Whilst previous workshops have looked at education and sharing knowledge, this series of gatherings focused on campaign strategy and the tools needed to develop it.
During this period, the EASE project has also established an e-group from EASE Gathering participants.
A crucial component of the EASE Project is to help bring back a bit of spark into campaign work. During the roadshow we found that one of the best ways to do this was simply bringing people together.
We asked:

"Who inspires the work you do and
what
is it about them that inspires you?"

Responses included local activists such as Gareth Thomas from the Grafton community for sharing his books and resources, to Diane O'Mara from the Mudgee District Environment Group Inc for being a long-term campaigner who has been involved with the nuclear campaign since its inception.
'Bundeluk' from the Blue Mountains was nominated by Kelly Watson of the Upper Mountains Youth Centre for inspiring her with his hosted tours of the local bush land.
