| Four Wheel Driving with the Environment in Mind |
|
Four Wheel Drive (4WD) enthusiasts in New South Wales are learning how to appreciate and protect the environment while driving in natural environments.
The Environmental Trust in conjunction with the Dubbo 4WD Club and TAFE Western Institute have produced a booklet filled with practical advice and techniques on how to four wheel drive in natural environments. Practical tips include sustainable camping, preparing your vehicle, protecting flora and fauna and cultural heritage. For easy reference the booklet fits any 4WD glove box so it's always on hand.
Training courses for four wheel drivers are also run by TAFE experts. For copies of the booklet or for more details about the training course, contact the Environmental Trust on (02) 8837 6093 or visit the Trust website. |
