Who Cares Report

Who Cares about the Environment? research measures the environmental attitudes, knowledge and behaviour of the people of NSW.  It has been undertaken by the Department of Environment and Climate Change NSW (DECC) every three years since 1994.

The Who Cares about the Environment in 2006? research report includes:

  • Results of two telephone surveys with a representative sample of 1721 people from across NSW
  • Comparisons to the previous Who Cares? surveys
  • Analysis of demographic differences within all questions
  • Findings from focus group discussions about people's views of the environment and their own environmental activities.

Even more research materials are under development and will be available soon including:

  • Further fact sheets on additional topics
  • Data tables providing results by NSW region.
